Everyday Brings More Little Tweaks and Changes

This morning after dropping the girls off at school, we met with Al and Cindi the cabinet makers.  They had the floating shelves for the fireplace wall and one other for the kitchen/dining room area.  We talked with them about installation heights and when we returned later in the afternoon, they were in place and I am really happy with them.  We just need the front of the fireplace to arrive to finish off that wall, oh and the tile for the hearth.

The plumber has been busy today as well.  We now have faucets in most places, all the toilets have been installed except in the master and the master tub finally arrived although it is still sitting in the garage.

The siders were busy once again today and the front door and front of the house is finally starting to come together.  They still have lots to do out front but so far we love it.  The stone should be arriving soon for placement on the front as well.

We are hoping that the hardwood floors will be sanded this weekend and the first coat of sealer put on it with two more coats to follow sometime next week.

  1. Amy, just FYI and use or not as you see fit; Pat and I needed to replace the front lawn at our house in Overland Park and found that seeding was much cheaper and produced a wonderful lawn. They killed all the old sod, scraped it off, placed the new seed down along with a medium to keep it in place and we just watered from there. You may want to check out that option - most likely can't do it until spring. Love you , Pat and Linda
