Primer and A Few Doors

Most of the walls in the house have been primed (except for the girls' bedrooms).  They use the actual wall color as the primer, so we got a bit of a preview of the end product, although the paint is not done well, just a quick covering of the drywall at this point.  Our initial reaction was that the brown on the main floor was too dark, but it is slowly growing on us and I like it better now that the fireplace wall has been painted with our "dragon's breath" color.  We will make a final determination on the brown after the trim is placed and stained.

Master Bedroom, although the purple wall didn't cover well, it is a deep plum color:

The basement is a deep gray color:

Stairwell, shows the upstairs brown color and downstairs gray color:

Some of the interior doors have been installed too ... lots more to go and the window sills and trim are here and waiting to be placed as well.

  1. Thanks for taking the time to go look at it in person mom ... I am still debating the dark brown, but it is growing on me. I can't believe how different it looks from picture to picture! ((Hugs))

  2. I can't believe how fast they are moving on everything!....JEALOUS!!!! But it's looking great and I don't think the color is that bad. It will all come together with the trim work and other finishes. Can't wait to see it in person.

    1. Thanks sis ... the color is growing on me slowly ... it helps seeing the hardwood in place today! :) Can't wait to show it to everyone in person when it is done. They are guessing the last week in October or first week in November.
