Literally ... not figuratively ... we stopped by the house tonight and the air was so thick with chemicals that we could hardly stand inside for more a minute or two without coughing and watery eyes. Even the pictures all look like there is a fog or a haze hanging in the air, because ... well ... there was ...
All the trim, doors and window sills have been stained, most have been installed other than the baseboards which are all lined up in the back bedroom of the lower level and the family room:
The HVAC guys were busy today as well and we now have an air exchange system (which is very badly needed after the staining session today) and a furnace!
Bill, the flooring guy, was working a bit today too. He delivered the rest of the tile and prepped the floors in the master bathroom and the girls' bathroom.
Another very exciting development over the past two days has been the delivery our siding and the scaffolding. Our builder, Chris, informed us that the siders would be on site tomorrow to begin transforming our "green house" into our home!
Last, but certainly not least (especially in Peter's eyes) ... was the discovery that we have Direct TV installed and ready for hook up when we take possession of the house in a few weeks!
Stay tuned this week for lots of BIG changes ... siding is scheduled, tile floors are scheduled and by Monday we are told all staining and painting will be complete ... they are planning to install light fixtures next week!
